About Bimbadgen Estate

The Hunter Valley is famous for its excellence as a wine growing region. It has superb soil structures that are perfectly suited to the growing of high quality grapes full of flavour, depth and intensity. The wines produced from the Hunter are indeed noted for their depth, flavour and intensity.

The classic bottle-aged Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz styles in particular are celebrated for their full flavour and vividness.

Bimbadgen Estate Vineyards have been grape producers for more than 35 years in the Hunter Valley and have settled on a low yield of one to two tonnes of premium grapes per acre. This, they believe, gives them the best quality for their efforts and the result is a stable of wines that are second to none.

The proprietors of Bimbadgen Estate Vineyards have built a very modern state-of-the-art winery, with a bell tower, a marvellous cellar door, a wonderful cellar, art gallery and a top class restaurant overlooking the tremendous views of the estate. All this is just a couple of hour’s drive north-west of Sydney in Australia's oldest premium wine producing region – the Hunter Valley.

The whole team is dedicated to the production of great wines from the careful growing and tending of the vines to the use of the most up-to-date methods of winemaking, using the ‘finest grapes and the best French and American barrels that produce very special regional wines.’ The selection includes: Barbera, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, Semillon, Verdelho and Viognier.

Bimbadgen Estate Wines has also been the exclusive wine sponsor of the Museum of Contemporary Art for which they share a mutual appreciation for Australian wine and art. Ten per cent of all sales of the specially labelled wines sold at the events put on are donated to the Museum.
