About Elysium Vineyard And Cottage

The historic four-bedroom Elysium Vineyard Cottage at Broke Fordwich sits amidst an explosion of flowering trees, with the mountains of Wollemi National Park as a backdrop.

They have a private pool and outdoor heated spa, where you can relax with a chilled wine - a glass of Elysium - and take in the rich ambience of the locality. In Greek mythology, Elysium was the garden of the gods and goddesses. You’ll feel like one when you go to Elysium Vineyard Cottage.

Around the cottage are the vineyards, where their very special grapes are grown. They are happy to cater for large groups and offer wine tasting, of course, but also close by are horse riding,  bicycle riding, bushwalking and many fine restaurants. Linda Forster, the Elysium Guest Services Manager, will make sure your stay is a memorable one.

The Gold medal Elysium Limited Release Verdelho, a rare aged vintage, was awarded 92 by James Halliday and described as ‘consistently successful’ by wine writer Huon Hooke.

The root stock comes from the nearby original eighty-year-old Tulloch vines nearby and the wines are made to age in the traditional Hunter style, but can also be drunk now. Indeed, many top Sydney and Hunter restaurants have Elysium wines are on their lists.

In the nearby Wollombi Brook wilderness and a picnic area you can have a swim, and enjoy a barbecue with one of their great wines, or lounge on the verandah and soak up the view. Either way you will be rewarded for taking the trouble to visit one of the great wineries of the Hunter Valley.

They also have a private chef available to serve lunch or dinner in the cottage or outside in the garden. Then maybe after lunch a massages can also be arranged to finish off the wonderful experience.

Go on, spoil yoirself!
