About Wright Robertson Of Glencoe
Wright Robertson Of Glencoe are located at Waratah Ridge, Glencoe, New South Wales. It is small family-owned-and-operated organic vineyard set high in one of the coldest parts of New England Tablelands.
Their decision to go ‘organic’ was a life choice for a healthy contract with Nature. It was never easy, especially in the beginning, but through their hard work and unflappable dedication, they have managed to bring off what many thought was impossible they succeeded! Their wines are growing in popularity year by year.
They do not use irrigation in the viticultural practices, but rather allow the grapes to live by the creed of the Foreign Legion they fight, or die. In some cases, they source grapes from trusted winegrowers near them, ones they can rely on to have at least some care for the environment. They also use solar power wherever possible and compost all the waste.
They built their winery in 2002 and were soon asked by other local growers to have their grapes processed, too. At present, they process grapes from four other New England winemakers. Their goal is to make great wines, naturally. Thus their marketing slogan is: ‘Making Flavour Naturally’.
Their range of wines includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Shiraz and Minus Twelve. Wine lovers should be aware that since Wright Robertson Of Glencoe is a small vineyard, these varieties are not always available and should get in early to avoid disappointment. They are also available at many New England Restaurants and bottle shops.
Wine buyers who purchase from this site can be assured of freight free delivery to anywhere in Australia. They also publish a newsletter on a random basis, for the edification of their guests.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Shiraz are all usually available at their Cellar Door, which is open every day, but Sunday.
