About Beelgara Estate

Beelgara Estate is located at, Farm 576, Rossetto Road, Beelbangera in New South Wales. It sits amidst a delightful patchwork of vineyards and farms, all connected by a labyrinthine system of canals that irrigate the whole area.

The estate has wonderful views of the mountain ranges, the hills and rivers that delineate the region. The soils are rich and fertile and perfect for the growing of grapes.

The Beelgara winery was built by Italian immigrants over seventy-five years ago and today blends traditional winemaking methods with modern techniques.

The team at Beelgara strive to make wines that are balanced and are fruit driven and full of regional character. They believe that great wines start on the vine and the ‘true characters of the wine evolve as the fruit develops.’ The talented winemakers at Beelgara Estate are able to take this high quality fruit and turn it into excellent wines.

The vineyard has grown from nothing more than a backyard concern to what is now vibrant winery with a 15,000 tonne capacity facility that specialises in fortified and table wines.

Beelgara Estate took on a new direction in 2001 in collaboration with the Toohey family. The change has manifested itself in a surge of professional energy with a big drive towards premium and commercial wine making. With a new sales team and a concentration on exports, the Beelgara Estate has grown to become Australia's 17th largest exporter.

The Riverina in New South Wales produces over 15% of Australia's wine grapes the Riverina and makes a significant contribution to Australia's export success. This is the region where Beelgara Estate is located. This, too, is the region in which other famous vineyards, such as Casella Wine "Yellow Tail", De Bortoli Wines and McWilliams Wines are also located.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Shiraz, Traminer, Verdelho and Viognier are all available at their Cellar Door.
