About Warburn Estate

Warburn Estate is located at 700 Kidman Way Tharbogang, Griffith, New South Wales in the heart of the Riverina wine district. It is a completely private company and proudly independent. It was once known as Riverina Wines Pty Ltd, but is now owned by the Sergi family, whose long winemaking traditions began in Italy. When Giuseppe and Maria Sergi migrated to Australia with their young family in 1952, they brought these great traditions with them.

Giuseppe and his son, Antonio, soon began planting the vines and growing the grapes on their Tharbogang property and success came to them almost immediately. Now the third generation Sergi has joined the company and is happily continuing the great family tradition.

Warburn Estate has enjoyed remarkable success in both the Australian and international wine markets and this is largely due to their obvious expertise and ability to bring together traditional winemaking skills, innovative techniques and effective market knowledge.

Their success has rocketed them to a prominent position as one of the leading producers in New South Wales with over 1000 hectares planted to vine, a crush capacity of 40,000 tonnes, tank storage for 35 million litres of wine and a turnover of $40 million a year.

Being an independent, private company, they are able to shift gears quickly when necessary to respond to the demands of the market. They keep a keen weather eye on what their clients want and where they feel the market is heading at any particular time.

The Riverina region is a wonderful wine-producing area, where many varietals flourish. In the hands of experts such as the Sergi family and their winemakers, the wines they produce are of the highest quality and display all the great regional qualities that one associates with the Riverina.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Chambourcin, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Colombard, Marsanne, Merlot, Durif, Dolcetto, Muscat Gordo Blanco, Petit Verdot, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Shiraz, Traminer and Verdelho are the vast range of wines to be sampled and bought at their Cellar Door.
