About Crane Winery

The small family-owned-and-operated boutique winery and vineyard known as Crane Winery is located on Hayden’s Road, Booie, in the South Burnett region of South East Queensland.

The estate features a quaint old colonial homestead and a delightful Cellar Door, high on the Booie Range, with spectacular views of the valley. The area has warm days and cool nights and is very similar in terroir to the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales.

Crane Winery was the pioneer of this region, which, since they planted their first vines, has grown steadily in popularity with other vineyards setting up in the area.

The Crane Winery has the motto ‘A wine to suit all palates’ and produces for the public a range of sweet, dry, sparkling and fortified styles. The evidence of their success in the market is that they have won many medals and awards for their wines.

It is a friendly place, with typical Queensland hospitality. The winemaker will be happy to meet you and answer all your wine-related question. You’ll even be escorted from the car park to their Cellar Door by Dylan, the winery's greeting dog, who will meet you with a happy smile and a wagging tail.

Their Cellar Door is a great place to browse around, enjoy the wines, taste the home-made jams and chutneys and even test their natural moisturisers they make on the property.

They invite their visitors to sit a while on the porch with a glass of their wine and maybe enjoy a gourmet platter, as they watch the antics of the finches and wrens in the gardens.

The views from the estate are simply breath-taking and worth the visit alone. But the great wines and warm hopitality are also long to be remembered.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Chambourcin, Chardonnay, Merlot, Semillon, Shiraz and Verdelho are the wonderful wines available at their Cellar Door.
