About Andrew Peace Wines
Andrew Peace Wines are located on Murray Valley Highway, Piangil in Victoria, beside the mighty Murray River. The area is famous for its faming and agriculture and, of course, its viticulture.
At Andrew Peace Wines, the emphasis is on the creation of wines that reflect the bold, rich characteristics of the region, and especially of their own special part of it.
They have been in the vine growing/winemaking business for over twenty-five years and are in fact one of the largest family-owned wineries in the country.
From a weekend hobby vineyard, the estate has grown into a fully-fledged winery that has been built by the hard work and dedication of three generations of the Peace family. It was in 1995 that their first vintage was released, turning the erstwhile hobby vineyard into commercial. From a production of 3,000 tonnes in their first year, Andrew Peace Wines now crushes over 20,000 tonnes per year.
Andrew Peace is still the winemaker and ‘invites you to enjoy the fruits of the family toil with the same joy they have had in creating it.’
They use state-of-the-art technology in their winemaking and modern business practices. This terrific combination has played a large part in their success and has placed them among the top twenty performing Australian exporters and won them many trophies and awards. Some of these awards include: the Victorian Vineyard of the year 1997, the Telstra Small Business of the Year 1999 and the Emerging Exporter Award 2001.
Although Andrew Peace Wines are a thriving, vibrant wine business, it still remains very much a family concern. Indeed, the Peace family believes that this is the major key to their success.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Colombard, Grenache, Malbec, Mataro, Merlot, Ruby Cabernet, Sagrantino, Crouchen, Muscat Gordo Blanco, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Shiraz, Tempranillo, Verdelho and Viognier are the terrific.
